Café Opening Hours

Thank you to all members for your feedback with the changes to the opening hours. We have listened and have made the following changes:

Tuesday 8am to 4pm
Wednesday 8am to 4pm
Thursday 8am to 4pm
Saturday 8am to 4pm

We hope this will mean you can still grab a coffee and snack before and after your round.

We thank all members for continuing to support the Café.

Course Update

Last week members would have noticed the greens were not at their best. Unfortunately the Grounds Team has some mechanical issues and couldn't cut or roll them. Nathan sends his apologies about that. Good news is that they will be back to normal for tomorrow's members comp. The greens were fertilised on Monday and we've had some very welcomed rain.

Any members who have emailed the Men's Captain previously (on his aapt.net.au address) need to be aware that the email address has been scammed and should be deleted. This week's Member is Phil Cooksey.

Phil has been a member of PIGC since 2020. You have probably seen Phil behind the counter in our Golf Shop. He is a quite friendly member of both staff and club. Thank you Phil for letting me talk you into this!

Where are you from originally: Mount Waverley
How long have you been a member of Phillip Island Golf Club: 5 years
Favourite Hole: The Signature Hole - 17! (seems to be a few member's favourite)
Best part of your game: 19th hole. (I don't doubt it)
Worst part of your game: Chipping, putting, driving.
Describe your perfect day of Golf: Sun out, couple of beers, the boys (they know who they are), drives up the missile and definitely no rain!
Do you work or are you retired: In between jobs but can sometimes be found in the Golf Shop. He also runs a little transportation business, Island Drive (look them up).
Favourite AFL/Sports team: peptide Bombers
Favourite musician: Has there been any good music made after the '80s! (showing your age there Cooksey)
Favourite golfers:  Adam Scott, 98th straight major next week!
