Dear members,

MEN'S MIDWEEK GOLF REVIEW

Player numbers and pace of play has dictated that all Saturday competitions will remain a two start format. This has prompted a review of the Men's midweek golf. We currently have two timesheets:
1. everyone tees from 1st tee, and
2. on Midweek Medal days the 9 hole competition is on the back 9, allowing all the tee slots on the front 9 available for the 18 hole competition.

This scenario works well and will be introduced from September 17th in new style midweek timesheets. To be fair to all members they will be created to give both the 18 hole competitions and 9 hole competitions a weekly format of either a front nine or back nine start. eg. Week 1, Tuesday and Thursday 18 hole competitions start on 1st tee, 9 hole competitions start on 10th tee.

Week 2, Tuesday and Thursday 18 hole competitions start on 10th tee, 9 hole competitions start on 1st tee. There will be some variation over 5 week months but any changes will be actioned evenly.

Members will be aware of the upcoming and continuing works required over an extended period on our greens. This will require many future Tuesday competitions to be organised as front nine twice. This timesheet will remain with the 9 hole competition on the front nine as they drop out and do not effect the continuation of the 18 hole competition.

GREEN CORING

The greens will be cored on Monday 2nd and Tuesday 3rd September. A twice around the front competition will be played on the Tuesday.

As an alternative, PIGC members have been offered the option to play at Leongatha GC on that day upon payment of the comp fee only ($10).

VETS GOLF

South Gippsland Vets golf will be played at Yarram on September 9th. There are limited places available so please contact Rob Davison on 0407 336 593 if you would like to play.

16th HOLE

On Tuesday August 27th the 16th hole will be shortened to a par 3 to allow for drainage maintenance work. When entering your score for this hole on the MiScore app or score card, please add one shot extra to what you actually had on the hole.

Eg. If you score a 3 on the hole you would enter 4 on the app or scorecard.
