CLUB NEWS

Friday 13 September 2024

Dear members,

CAR PARK

The club car park will have a major facelift over the next two weeks with the existing area to be asphalted. As a result of these works, the car park will be closed, and the 3rd hole will be used as a temporary car park. The hole will be shortened to a par 3.

The works will commence this coming Tuesday, and it is expected that the earthworks will take most of the week to complete. It is hoped that the main car park will then be reopened for next weekend temporarily, before being closed again the following week for the asphalt to be laid.

Parking on the 3rd hole will be accessed access via the gravel driveway (off Settlement Road) between the 3rd tee and Palm Lake Resort. There will be signage in the area indicating the entry point. Once you have parked your car, please make your way to the footpath behind the 3rd tee to proceed to the clubhouse or golf shop. A section of the large rope that serves as the fence will be temporarily removed behind the 3rd tee to allow access to the footpath.

Please do not cross the 2nd fairway to make your way to the clubhouse or golf shop, use the footpath. We also ask members to not park on Settlement Road, please use the temporary car park. Those towing a trailer are requested to use the car parking space near the members cart storage shed (10th tee).

When entering your score for this hole on the MiScore app or score card, please add two shots extra to what you actually had on the hole. Eg. If you score a 3 on the hole you would enter 5 on the app or scorecard.

KIMBIES

Kimbies will be closed tomorrow but the Cafe will be operating as usual.

ALFRESCO AREA

There is a growing number of golf bags and buggies being parked in the outdoor alfresco area near the practice putting green. This area is becoming congested and taking up what limited undercover outdoor space we have. Please ensure you leave your bags and buggies to the side to keep the area clear.
